Mission Sadbhavana

In a potential step and effort to make governance more citizen centric and responsive, creating a positive atmosphere and holistic work culture, a time bound project called Sadbhavana, a landmark, one of its kind initiatives towards citizen centric governance launched by the Government of Assam.

To reduce citizen’s visits to the Secretariat for accessing different citizen services, Mission Sadbhavana, was launched by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam on 1st February, 2022 at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati. The aim and spirit of the Mission was to present responsive administration to the people of Assam so that its journey to become one of the top performing states in the country is expedited. The officers and staff of all administrative departments reflected their responsibility for implementation of the project in public interests. Since work culture was given emphasis, it augmented the efficiency of the officials at the Assam Secretariat in phase I.

The Mission that started on 1st Feb 2022 operated in a time-bound manner. A window of two months for the Phase-I is provided to citizens to file requests for their pending applications. All the applications received under Mission Sadbhavana were disposed within stipulated time. The Phase-I of Mission Sadbhavana successfully concluded on the Lok Kalyan Diwas 2022.
